Why

Calling the register for a group of a hundred students costs ten minutes of every class. That is nearly three hours a semester.

A signature sheet travels around the room and gets signed on behalf of friends. It gets lost, it gets wet, and at the end somebody types it into a spreadsheet.

La oră replaces both. It takes as long as a slide, and you leave the room with the data already in electronic form.
